The electricity and water are municipal. There is a general dealer and liquor store in Oviston. A pleasant, twelve-kilometre drive through Oviston nature reserve takes us to Venterstad where there are more stores. Crime is practically unheard of here: one can walk around in the dead of night with complete peace of mind.
