Várfölde is a small village accessible from Bánokszentgyörgy via a dead-end road. The Slovenian border is 20 km away, and the M7 motorway is 11-12 km away. It lies nestled in a forest and is a small settlement with a pretty little lake and a pub on its shore. A mobile shop and a mobile confectionery stand also visit the village, but two larger towns (Nagykanizsa and Zalaegerszeg) are each 20 minutes away. The population is around 170-200. It's a very quiet place; many houses are empty or used only as holiday homes. There is no through traffic, the people are friendly, and many helped out during the renovation. If you're looking for a bustling city life, this isn't the place for you. The house itself is a long, brick farmhouse that we extensively renovated this year. Should we sell, we will remain in the village, as we have found a more suitable home. The renovation included all water, electricity, and sewage systems, all exterior and interior plastering, part of the roof, the foundation, windows and doors, and all paneling. Heating is provided by air conditioning, gas convectors, and an installed wood-burning stove. The house has one bedroom, a hallway, a kitchen/dining area, a living room, and a room currently used as a workshop, which could also be converted into living space. There is a renovated porch roof on the gable end. A chicken coop and a drilled well are still on the property. Currant, plum, apple, and pear trees bear fruit. The house is located at the edge of the settlement. All kinds of wildlife are native to the area, and thousands of hectares of forest with abundant mushrooms surround the village. The property for sale is divided into three parcels: one with the house and two directly adjacent parcels, totaling 1000 m². We are happy to assist you with complete fence construction projects and custom-made fences; prices are negotiable.
