Várfölde is a small village accessible from Bánokszentgyörgy via a dead-end road. The Slovenian border is 20 km away, and the M7 motorway is 11-12 km away. It lies nestled in a forest and is a small settlement with a pretty little lake and a pub on its shore. A mobile shop and a mobile confectionery stand also visit the village, but two larger towns (Nagykanizsa and Zalaegerszeg) are each 20 minutes away. The population is around 170-200.
